I had a very nice person in the waiting room at Lexington Clinic asked
me the other day "What offends you? Aren't you offended at what's going
on in the news? With the 'flag', with the whole 'marriage' thing? With
the terrorists?"
I thought for a moment and replied: "What offends me is all the energy being put into situations and debates that could be used for good. I'm offended that others would want to argue with someone else about who they can and can't love and marry, when that energy could be used to go out into the Universe and ask for the healing of others, let alone a divided country. It offends me greatly that people would rather argue about religion and doctrine rather than to sit down ONE TIME and get to know those around them regardless of 'their religion or doctrine'. It really behooves me when others could look around them and see the hurting in the world and instead of bowing their head in silent prayer for that person that is sick or down on their luck, they would rather focus more on a piece of cloth, a piece of paper or downing others for how they believe. I want MY LIGHT TO SHINE in a way that it casts a huge shadow on what is in the news. What is being debated and argued about. I want to show this cruel horrible world filled with such hate and hurt and pain, that there is SOMEONE on it that wants to heal. Does that answer your question?"
The man just looked at me as the others around me agreed in unison. He too thought for a moment and said "I think that I need to do the same." I smiled and patted his hand.
"My Gran always said, it's never too late to change your ways and ways of thinking. We can either feed the monster and let it grow, or we can turn it loose and set ourselves free. It's time that a bunch of us set it free yes? Because if that monster grows anymore? It's gonna eat us whole.."
They called him back and he turned around and smiled at me and said "It was meant that I was here in this very spot the same time you were."
I smiled again. It is always meant.
