And i will breathe it out
Oh i will breathe it in
It's you i need
So where you go when there's nothing left?
What you do when there's nothing left?
And those who run
Those who never give in
Won't find no love
Love for the sake of life
And i didn't want it
God i didn't see
I guess i didn't feel it
And i didn't need it
Oh i didn't see
I guess i didn't see it
Love for the sake of life

She spotted him, and walked on over to the booth. He stood up, almost tripping over his feet as he did to welcome her to the table. He blushed, feeling like a school boy again.
She pretended not to notice his faux pas and sat down opposite from him.
The waiter came over, eager to get them served, and hopefully get them out of there. As the people started pouring in, he wanted customers to eat and leave. The ones who just sat to talk afterwards took up space that could be used for others. All about turn over. All about the bens.
She looked intently at the menu, the waiter asking her what she would like to drink. Killians?
No Killians. Mexican resturant. And why not? She had asked the waiter with mock surprise on her face. Killians was like water! Universal. The waiter, already annoyed at not getting a tip from the previous table told her again, no Killians. Got Diet Dr. Pepper? No. Only Pepsi products. Would she like a Diet Pepsi? No, she sighed. Got Diet Rite? No...that’s an RC product, not Pepsi. She smiled sweetly. Oh yes, that is right. Well then, Diet Pepsi it was. She smiled again, and gave him the menu without ordering anything to eat.
He watched all this play out in morbid fascination, waiting to see what was next.
The waiter took his order, just another drink, gave her one more sour look and left.
She giggled. He smiled. Then she explained to him that no, she didn’t do that often, but that particular one happened to have peeved her slightly when her and her girlfriends came in the last time. Seems that he liked demeaning a friend of hers over the way she had pronounced a dish on the menu. Her being her, she swore vengeance on the unsuspecting waiter, and today had been the day.
He liked her wit, and really hoped that in the future, he never peeved her off in anyway.
She had asked him, did he ask out all the girls that answered a wrong number? He gave her that half grin of his. No. But when she bawled him out after he had called back, he had to see who this fiery girl was on the other end. More over, she intrigued him with her demeanor that day. He knew that there had bound to have been something go on with her to just do something like that. There was just something in her voice that he had to know...if she was going to be okay. She glanced down. Although she had apologized for it a hundred times over, she apologized again for what she said to him.
She had had a bad day that day. Nothing was going right, everything was falling apart, and he was the unlucky one to call and ask for someone. Her knowing a someone by that name, let him have it with both barrels, and promptly hung up on him. He called back, wanting to apologize himself for mistakenly calling the wrong number. She let him have it again. A few days later, not being able to get that off his mind, he called using another number and introduced himself. It went from there. He would call, and she would joke with him. He finally told her some things about work and life, and when he felt down, he’d call her. She always made time for him regardless, making him feel like someone out there actually cared.
Strange, he knew. He’d never done anything like that before, but didn’t his mother always tell him that things happened for a reason. Wrong things happened to teach us lessons in this life. Right things happened to teach us to be thankful and to have humility for the prayers that were answered. He was never all that religious, but he did believe in some sort of fate that caused things to happen. So he had taken it that the phone call was just meant.
They would have lunch sometimes, out of the way places, picnics in the park, hikes along the wooded trails. It got to where he just couldn’t get enough of her company. She was everything that he wanted in a woman. She was his complete. She was also someone else’s.
But what did that amount to? She wasn’t shy when she explained it to him one night. Her honesty in things made him want to reach out that much more.
He never had attempted to kiss her. He never touched her body other than to hug her good bye.
But he dreamed of her. He would feel her body, naked and wet next to his after a shower. Lying on the bed, in the middle of the night, he could feel her weight on top of him, undulating on his hard cock. His body would raise to meet every stroke that she made, feeling his balls in the crack of her, squeezing them as she gyrated.
He would wake up in cold sweats, weak from the dream and dying to piss. He would come back from the bathroom wanting so bad to make a phone call, but couldn’t.
He pulled off his shirt and laid it across the couch. His hair was still damp from the car to here, hanging just a little below his ears..
He laid down on the couch for just a bit, resting his head. It hurt from all the things that had went on today, and just to close his eyes and rest for a minute was great. He would go to her in just a few, cuddling up to her body and wrapping his arms around her.
The day had been warm, but not humid like it had been. He had called her and made arrangements to meet her at the Trail. He told her not to pack anything, that he had it all under control.
He had gotten his secretary to order Chinese for today to go. He had already bought the desert, strawberries and cool whip. The table cloth and things were already in the car. She loved going up to the trail to take pictures of the scenery and the pet deer that lived there.
He had gotten there early, nervous as usual and excited to see her again. He got the things out of the trunk just as he heard her pulling up to park. He halfway turned and smiled at her. She had the window down, music blaring, her hair mussed from the wind. She turned it off, rolled the window up, got out and fluffed out her bangs, giggling.
All of his trepidations left him. She had a t-shirt on, blue jean shorts, tennis shoes. She was ready for a good long walk.
She bounced over to where he was, gave him a big bear hug like she hadn’t seen him in ages. It had been a while, though hadn’t it? He could feel himself responding to her touch, and pulled away slightly so she wouldn’t notice the bulge that was forming in his pants.
He took her hand, and led her down the trail, to a clearing he had found once before...
