What do You Do?

What do you do when words fail to express the heart?
The feelings that well up inside and over flow
The weakness in your legs every time he walks by
And you look down at the ground, not wanting him to see
The smile on your face, or the twinkle in your eye

What do you do when words fail to express the heart?
When you hear his voice, low and deep as he calls her name
And you so wish that it was your name he said out loud
When you know it’s her body that he lays next to
And it’s her arms that hold him tight in her silken web

What do you do when words fail to express the heart?
When he finally sees’ the person you are inside
When it no longer matters, and he watches you as you pass by
And he hears your voice call someone else by name
And his head bends down to hide the sorrow of his loss
